The perfect Tuna Steak

Ingredients
Fresh Tuna Steak (from Waitrose) - around 1 inch thickness, or thicker cut to your preference
1/2 tea spoon of Salt
1/2 tea spoon of Pepper
2 cloves of Garlic very finely chopped
3 table spoon full of Olive Oil
4 drops of Tabasco
1 lime
1 tea spoon full of Soya sauce

Pan with lid big enough for the steaks to fit flat.

First make the marinate:
1. Pour the pepper (not the salt), garlic, tabasco, olive oil, Soya sauce and half a lime juice into your marinate dish and mix well

2. Add the tuna steak(s) and marinate for around 15 minutes, turn and marinate again for another 15 minutes. For the impatient... marinating each side for 10 minutes would be fine

3. Heat your pan with the lid on until hot.

4. Add your salt to the steak in the marinade

5. Pop the steaks into the pan making sure you include all of your marinate into the pan as well

5. Cook each side for 90 second on high heat. You should still have pink in the middle of your steak

6. Dish it out, drizzle the rest of the lime on top of it and enjoy

Try experimenting with a dash of Marmite! You may be surprised.

Now out of my kitchen and back to my geekdome!
