With BT and EE now sharing a bed, you can now use the BT resources like the BTWifi-X public hotspot that used to be previously exclusive to BT customers. Also now you should start seeing BT hotspot names being gradually changed to the EE branding. So... IF: You're on a EE contract (not PAYG) AND: You're using a PHYSICAL EE SIM card (not an eSIM) then you can connect to the BT and EEWifi-X hotspots wherever you see them. IMPORTANT: Currently there are technical issues with eSims connecting specifically to the Wifi-X hotspots. |
If you're struggling to connect still and the connection attempt is toggling between Connecting and Saved, then during the SIM authentication setting try in the Advanced section, changing the MAC address setting from dynamic to static.
