Visionsoft Visual Audit x4: Import product details error

Visual Audit X4 is a very good software auditing and logging (read snooping on your networked PCs) product, but it does have its occasional glitches, and the user interface could be a bit more smoother.

Hit a glitch with it as follows:

Problem: When I tried to import product details as per their readme instructions in the zip file, I click on Import product details and get the error Information box which says "Action already in progress" and "Action started: 18/12/08". I also got a similar error if I try to add a product to the list by right clicking on an unrecognised software.

Solution: One/some of the SQL database files may have become “locked” in an open state. Close Visual Audit X4 (if it is running) and then restart it as follows:
“vsVax4.exe /ReleaseLock”
